About Steelergurl

Steelergurl lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her son and is a die hard Steelers fan. She’s also a public relations strategist, a social media enthusiast, an avid reader and unfortunately, addicted to coffee.  She grew up in central Pennsylvania, but frequently drove the 2 hours to Pittsburgh for sports and well, shopping.

She attended the University of Pittsburgh freshman year where she spent more time majoring in the “O” and Pitt football than she did in actual Pitt-sponsored classes.  After that year, she transferred to Penn State where she graduated with honors.  She also has a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business in Baltimore where she met many Ravens fans.  But she doesn’t let that flaw interfere with friendship.  We’re all adults, after all.

Steelergurl currently lives in Maryland and works in Washington, D.C. where she helps organizations tell their story through public relations strategies.  She founded her own company in April 2008.  Steelergurl definitely has that entrepreneurial spirit and is always looking for new opportunities.  Steelergurl has lived on both coasts and landed in the DC Metro region after being in California for 4 years.

Hmmm. I like Steeler Gurl. But there’s something incomplete with this scenario. She needs an arch enemy. Like her Lex Luther. Or Green Goblin. Or Joker. So on the scene comes Copperhead Cowboy to thwart her plan to rule the football world. Be afraid, Steeler Gurl. Be very afraid.

Copperhead Cowboy, I appreciate you looking out to make sure I don’t rule the football world.

But let me get this on the record, I am far from scared…in fact, I am more scared of your cheerleaders than I am of TO or Romo or the rest of your “cowgirls”…Dec 7 isn’t that far away…I’ll see you then!!

Disclaimer – I am a little scared of TO, but more for his mental health than his ability to do anything on the field. Afterall, you gotta touch the ball to be scary and he hasn’t been doing too much of that lately!!!

I think steelergurl’s arch enemy is hollering back at folks when she says that she will. Or maybe it’s the jets???

    I’m not sure.

In either event, the Jets made the Titans look entirely beatable, and indeed pedestrian. They played beautifully…

And I hate the jets. Giants fan here.

steelergurl has lots of Steeler friends in the DC/Balt. area. She fears noone, because her fellow fans of the Black and Gold will be there for support. You see loyalty is an important part of being a Steelers fan. That is why we’ve only had 3 coaches in the past 40 years. The fans are just as loyal as the Steeler’s organization.

I do believe that Joker is the most appropriate name for arch enemy Copperhead Cowboy.

I love your site, and like many before me have said you cannot beat an absolutely gorgeous woman that is also a Steelers fan.Like you I am in the DC area, so I am stuck dealing with Skins fans. BTW are you going to the Opening game against the Titans? IF not I got an extra ticket already in the works, its nice to have connections at the stadium.
